I made her both as a prototype and as a doll for a swap in Altered Artist’s Guild. I am pleased with the way she turned out. I couched fabric onto a canvas background and having done so have learned that this is not the best background for the job lol, but it worked ok this time but meant a lot of extra work after stuffing. I am pleased with the result, although the picture nowhere near shows the true colours or textures which is a shame – must practice with the camera. Scans were even worse, totally distorted the shape and colours.
This is a form I am going to take time to explore in fibres, fabrics and paint on board, wood etc.
I will post my efforts here and would appreciate feedback

I am the lucky recipient of this doll. She is really gorgeous! Thanks again Jill.
P.S. I’ve named her Shulamith
The girl’s name Shulamith \sh(u)-lami-th, shul(a)-mith\ is of Hebrew origin, and its meaning is “peace”.
